This is the greatest clock. We have counted at least 23 moving gears. It sets about 2″ way from the wall and casts an interesting shadow as the gears move. It’s fascinating and works just the way it should.

Well, that was what I thought at first but after having the clock for about six weeks, it stopped running. It would start again if you touched it only to have it stop again after a couple of hours.

I contacted the manufacturer as I was instructed to do by the seller only to have them tell me to try to fix it ourselves. Great customer service if you ask me. My husband has oiled it and it is again running but time will tell. Oh, Maples also told me I could return the clock to them but I would have to pay freight. That’s almost as much as the whole clock cost originally. I am not a happy camper to say the least.

Good points…I would note that as someone who really doesn’t write on blogs much (in fact, this may be my first post), I don’t think the term “lurker” is very becoming to a non-posting reader. It’s not your fault in the least , but perhaps the blogosphere could come up with a better, non-creepy name for the 90% of us that enjoy reading the posts.
